About

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is the global humanitarian organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Through an international network, ADRA delivers relief and development assistance to individuals in more than 130 countries—regardless of their ethnicity, political affiliation, or religious association.

Work in Tunisia
ADRA works to implement region-appropriate solutions for positive and sustainable change and has an office in Tunisia. In the aftermath of the Arab Spring sparked by Tunisia itself, unemployment rates and the population of impoverished citizens continued to rise amid the country’s political unrest. Although an emerging economy on the African continent, unemployment has long troubled Tunisia and directly led to the extensive turmoil. ADRA Tunisia is active in these neglected regions implementing livelihoods programs and runs a successful center for professional training and orientation for the unemployed. “ADRA Jobs” is a program implemented with the cooperation of the Ministry of Labor and prepares, orients and empowers jobs seekers to find a job in a competitive labor marked through soft skills, language competency and coaching trainings.
